‘It sucks for us, it sucks for the fans’: Oilers losing skid hits six games

Can it get any worse?

Saturday was a new low for the Edmonton Oilers in this 2014-15 season. Their current losing streak hit six games. They were out of this one after just few minutes. Jonathan Toews got it started for the visiting Chicago Blackhawks, scoring a beauty less than four minutes into the first period and it fell apart from there for the Oilers.

They were once again booed off the ice. The final score: 7-1 for the Blackhawks.

Chicago scored six times on just 15 shots. The Blackhawks completed the touchdown – minus the convert – before the second period was even four minutes old. Edmonton’s goalie Ben Scrivens was yanked after giving up five goals on 13 shots. No mercy rule in the NHL.
