DETROIT (WWJ) – Metro Detroit is waking up Saturday with a fresh coating of snow on the ground, but is more heading our way?
Forecasters say it’s not likely. In fact, it’s actually going to warm up a bit this weekend.
Temperatures on Saturday are expected to reach the mid 40s with partly sunny skies and a slight breeze. Some areas could see scattered showers later in the afternoon and overnight.
It’s going to be even warmer Sunday, with highs in the mid 50s and a shower in spots.
Enjoy the brief warm-up while it lasts, because forecasters say temperatures are dropping back down to the low 30s Monday and Tuesday next week.
Here’s the extended forecast from the CBS Detroit weather team:
Saturday: Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon; a shower in spots later. High 42F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph.
